The jacket uses 11-wale corduroy, meaning the fabric has approximately eleven raised cords per inch. This places it around the medium-wale range: the ribs remain clearly visible without becoming as chunky as wide-wale workwear corduroy.

At approximately 320 GSM, the fabric has a substantial feel suitable for outerwear rather than lightweight shirting. The cotton/polyester blend provides the familiar softness and texture associated with cotton corduroy while helping the garment retain its shape during regular use.

The fabric is plain dyed in black, creating a cleaner and more uniform appearance than washed or heavily distressed corduroy.
